they love to knock it on here but yea, I still think the bbc is great👍
It's very good in some areas, world-leading in fact, but in others it is a pale shadow of its past self. I simply don't trust its current affairs teams on anything 'woke', they just can't be trusted to provide independent reporting. Whereas, on most international and science based matters they are excellent, and provide the impartial news that is to be expected.

For reasons I really don't know, they seem to think that we - meaning the tax-paying and viewing public - should be subjected to subjective journalistic 'opinion', which funnily enough goes directly against the BBC's own Charter!

From a publicly funded broadcaster I just want facts, and a bit of commentary, not opinion.

In times of crisis the world tunes into the BBC World Service. I note two new short wave channels set up last week that can be picked east of the Urals, as well as nearby.
The big difference is the world service seems to report news and facts uk based bbc gives its opinions and ignores facts that is contrary to their opinion
