It's got 4 width settings for the overall width manually adjusted in the second from narrowest it makes a really nice swath for a baler or trailed forager from 2 x 3m swaths out of a mower conditioner .The finished swath width not the overall working width
Ever do three 2.8m ? Obviously from what you say, it's going to catch them ,but how even for baling. It's got 4 width settings for the overall width manually adjusted in the second from narrowest it makes a really nice swath for a baler or trailed forager from 2 x 3m swaths out of a mower conditioner .
It will do 3 x 3m rows at full width but will leave a swath too wide to bale as it'll only put them up against the outside of the centre swath so you get an odd shape bale unless the rows have been laid out really narrow but it's fine fir a SP forager.
Row width is also affected by pto speed and forward speed
They're a really good rake I wish we still had ours now
Should be fine . I never did it as we didn't have one but I'd think it should be fine for itEver do three 2.8m ? Obviously from what you say, it's going to catch them ,but how even for baling.
That depends on many factors, crop density and forward speed, I have a 780 and if you go slower it makes a narrower, taller row but if forward speed increases then so does the swath width, it ends up being wider and flatter, especially in lighter crops. The finished swath width not the overall working width
