i have a 398, bought second hand, in the 2000 hours i have had it, it has had a water pump n altenator, also a few bulbs n switches , lift pump n master cylinder but needed these when i bought it
i dont think it has ever been split, hours now around 7000, none of the problems you mention

The 390t was nowhere near as bad on clutches as the 399, as I recall the 399 had a different type of clutch (ceramic?) which was kinder on the left leg but it didn't last long. In over 11k hours on our three JD's they haven't been split, nothing more complex than a bolt on turbo and a 3 bolt on oil pumps for the 6310se, out of that JD paid for all but 1 pump, down time of about a week between them. Oil pumps I think due to the 6310se being fitted with a very basic pump, a cost saving too far. Bizarrely all pump failures in the first 2500 hours and nothing in the last 3000, maybe because it's simply been a sprayer/fert tractor since then?

The essential problem with the 399 was its engine was too powerful for its antiquated engineering, it wasn't a bad tractor as such, they'd just skimped too much on the r + d.

i dont know about the type of clutch etc, but i do know 42/43 series clutch is a lot more expensive n lasts a shorter time compared300 series

ceramic clutches are the work of the devil, poxy things that just ruin the flywheel/pressure plate when they wear out

i never ever replace a ceramic clutch with a like for like item, always fit a fibre disc instead, ok so it wont last as long as the ceramic plate, but you can put 2 or 3 fibre discs in a clutch before the entire unit needs replacing

Not that I've got either but they are our friends these days and they don't want to blow you to hell in tiny little bits currently and they don't commonly keep western girls as sex slaves in England either for all I know.
I think it is best to take from history if we did not put Germany down economical after the first war the second might not have started , in the same way as the north of Ireland was helped financially to give the people some to do and get them away from toughing stones at police giving jobs to people might stop them from having to deal in drugs and the sex industry,
we can see the numbers of young women ib the sex trade has increased in France with the rescission , but we like to say that the French sex industry is made up of women that come in from out side , ( french girls would not do that ) we like to keep some things under the carpet

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
