Caterpillar was about £2000 mark. I left before it was sold but I was speaking to someone that stayed on to the end.

Crawler and all the trailed implements were used to work that hill in the past - and they sold a lot at the previous reduction sale (-20 years ago??).

Quite a good upland farm being turned over to trees to offset someone's carbon costs. Shame.

Combine would be cheap because it was out of season? :ROFLMAO:

That's not an upland farm 🤣 it's a lowland farm with a wee knowe out the back

If the buyer is who I've heard it is... he will have a lot of carbon to offset! But I was told only the ground above the road and steading is to be planted?
Either way, I hate seeing good land put under trees. But I think it's more of a shame the circumstances which have brought about the sale

I'm not used to any form of hill.

I agree with your comment about the circumstances. Families

Taking a few days off in North Yorkshire and today went to look at a couple of vehicles that interest me at Mathewson (Bangers & Cash) auction this evening and tomorrow.
Had a long chat with son Dave “There’s Dad’s way and then there’s Dad’s way” at their Pickering showroom
especially about this, which will be in their November auction and is expected to fetch a 6 figure sum!

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
