There was a farmer who ran two at Fressingfield, North Suffolk about 20 years ago. Pair of Beauties, they were too!

I think it's off a 500 series, it's a kontac valve, probably same as 265 , there is no spacers between the slices like on 300 series

I'm going to paint all the tin work, and at least some of the cab anyway, now I'm going to have to do the axles and front bolster too

Yes that is working position, trailer can't come off, I will get another photo tomorrow, if you look closely you may see the bits bolted on each side of hook

Been sat for 15 plus years one has hole in block ,how do you value them ,not got the inclination or much time to fight on with them ,got another 5 for next weekend
