Yes its a 250 with a Sankey cab although we made the cab roof ourselves as the original was rotten. Is that an MF 250? Looks in really tidy condition, cab doesn’t look quite like a standard Lambourn as fitted to most 250’s?
Only 6 that not many is it?@msheep66 - how many old Brit tractors have you got FFS? No wonder I can never find any.
Well we have 4 Marshalls although one is in bits and 2 small Masseys.Okay, I'll let you off. It seemed to be more, but you obviously manage their online presence well to maximise the hit. I'm jealous, that's all.
I find you need plenty of tractors about when you run old ones, as something is always needing fixed.
Yes handy at this time of year when were making hay and haylage. Was going to put the Haybob on our 230 but the water pump has gone so handy to have a backup. But you have a tractor for every job don’t you? A lot to be said for being able to leave the best suited tractor hitched onto a given implement, so you just jump on and go and get the job done. This is especially so with things that can take time to hitch up or are awkward to put on.
Brings back a lot of memories of doing it that way.Our neighbours at first cut, video done by his son.

What have you got?I agree, but I have only the one! For the time being.
I think we should start a thread called 'what tractor should new puritan have next' i bet there would be quite a few good suggestions as to what to buy to compliment the JD
I never worked out the gearbox on the david browns i drove on one farm. (990 and 996 but mostly 996) The stick on the right had 1 2 3 R and iirc that was pretty standard ans easy. But there were 2 levers near the floor on the right and it depended how they were either one up one down or both up or both down whether it was in 1 2 3 or 4 and i never did get it. Would be fine if the stickers hasnt rusted offI think @Selectamatic has a view on that, one that I share. I'm a newcomer (ish) to farming and so have come in without prejudice on particular makes, but I have not enjoyed the Ford's gearbox so far.
Lovely looking tractor that Mashall. Is it 804 or 904 ?
