'if it is pasture reared, locally sourced British lamb with fewer miles we're all over it'
Not only a brilliant play on words but a resoundingly positive advert that is part of their Back British' initiative. Good on them.

see it’s not so difficult when you pay the right people to do a good job

Just imagine what uk ag could do with the NFU, AHDB and red tractor millions if it just employed the right people ?

There are some clever witty headline writers in this country. They are not hard to find!
Edit. Some years ago an agency created some sample headlines for a mobile feed mill especially for the pig industry and they included; “Pork and Ride” and “Squeals on wheels”!

Nfu did pay the right people this time.

well, that is brilliant, really happy to finally see that kind of joined-up thinking happening at last, let's hope we see more of it and it can go beyond product or sector level l to promote BRITISH produce. I would love to see AHDB and Red tractor chip in some of their millions as well ...........

they REALLY need to drop this "entitled" rubbish though ! It's the worst marketing message ever conceived, it's like telling your customer directly that what they do matters less than what a farmer does ........... ! Maybe "thank aa nurse" "thank a cancer surgeon" " thank a fireman" ............. in fact Thank bloody everyone as everyone contributes (well maybe with the exception of anyone working for HMRC !!)

We do not want "thanks" we just want happy customers who default select British over alternative

Is the message of asking for charity ie "back British farmers" "thank a farmer" etc REALLY what we want ? surely messages that demonstrate our high food quality , welfare and environmental standards are what we should really be basing campaigns around

If that sample is for real I believe it’s the wrong message. Agriculture shouldn’t be looking for a “charitable” type of response. What it needs to do to is engage with jo public about the many healthy benefits of food produced to a high standard on your doorstep. It needs to be inclusive of all its “public’s” and that means the press, politicians, vegan groups etc etc

The Coleman’s advert is fab. It not only promotes there product but is doing a great service to UKs farmers.

Thank you and well done Coleman’s.

Red tractor take note! Pull your fingers out or we may as well sack you and get a condiment manufacturer/supplier to do your job because there clearly far better at it!
