Collapsed lung

Got up this morning all ok, walking up to do the cattle it felt like I had pulled a muscle in my side, by the time we had done the cattle about an hour and a half I could hardly breath and in really bad pain so I went inside, by the time Clare got in from seeing the sheep I had been sick and was is hellish pain so we thought we better go to hospital, nearly passed out on the way but that was just @farmerclare driving
they done an x-ray and found I had a collapsed lung so they took me to resus and got three litres of air out of my chest
back home now and feel not to bad but a bit sonked out, got to go back tomorrow just to make sure
apparently it quite common in tall thin men for this to happen for no reason
We thought the staff at Musgrove hospital were great and done a really good job (y)

Wow! That's a bit hardcore! Glad you're ok, must be more to it than 'it just happens sometimes'?

First time was I was a few miles away from the yard just getting in the tractor felt like I had been stabbed or torn a muscle had to drive back one handed really slow because it hurt when in went over any bumps.
I would take the operation over having more collapses and it's not great either.

Glad you feel better now, I had it 3 times over the period of a year bloody painful. Had to have an op to remove my chest lining eventually all fine now though.
not going to like that post, don't want it again (n)
I have had more pain when I crushed two vertebrae in my back but it wasn't much more

I was just saying to Clare I don't know how I managed to scape out and bed up the cows with a collapsed lung, I must be harder than I though, mind you if I had known what it was I wouldn't have done it

We were sat here before we went wondering if I should go in as I didn't want to waste there time
