Collapsed lung

So how does the air get in there to cause the problem?
Did you ever see the demonstration in physics at school with a model lung using a bell jar and a balloon? Effectively the lungs are 2 balloons inside the sealed chest connected to the outside air. If that sealing is broken anywhere the lung on that side will collapse. It could be the chest wall being penetrated (a "sucking chest wound") or a good or tear in a lung or the pipework between the lung and your throat. The third option is other body fluids filling the space around your lungs so restricting their expansion.

Always investigate chest pains (y)

Its one of those things you have to let the medics call the shots.
Your catheter aspiration is OK for up to 4 litres.... after that things are a bit more complex.
Recovery from aspiration is up to a couple of weeks...and you are supposed to take it easy!!

A snort of that up each nostril, reinflate, and you'll be right as rain in twenty minutes!

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.
