I spoke to a trader today about this. Maize is currently uncompetitive in UK bioethanol from harvest onwards when you consider that we will be back at export parity for wheat from August. This will be good for us in the North East.

I hate all these high forward prices. At least when prices are on the floor it's an easier decision to make.

Yes, but like Tesla said, not a huge one. Both bio ethanol plants running on 100% wheat at full capacity would consume 1.9 MMT of UK wheat but we have lost Roquette recently (450kMT) and a lot of livestock so the demand will be less than that.

Anyone else having problem getting beans moved? Last sale Dec, eventually moved end Jan, and no sign of Feb sale moving this month.
