Don't worry I know it still June but we do seem to talk about T2 fungicide choice around Christmas so I might as well start this now.

Anyone started combining yet??

I'd imagine there must have been a few out in barley for crimping. How close are the barleys in the south and east especially on the lighter soils where there has been a lack of rainfall.

Be some winter barley off by early next week if it stays as hot as today. Just near Huntingdon Racecourse is one field that would probably go this week but that is a hot field on gravel. The other bits still have greenish tramlines but main land is looking well over. This would be for dry combining.

Saw that field last week and thought the same.

started yesterday with OSR, but that's not uncommon for my area. if all goes well, we'll be done with it next week and go into winter wheat right away, as it's nearly there..

Tower at 30% moisture this evening. I could leave a nail mark in the grains half way up the ear but there are still green patches. Volume is further ahead. Might be ready for glyphosate at the weekend or early next week.

Osr won't be fit for desiccation this week but should be early next week. V316 OL HOLL is the most forward.

Dessication should start here on Monday.
Barley and some OSR to go at.
Some of the Barley drilled later on our higher ground is about 10 days later and will see some OSR being cut before it.

Heard of someone locally that had just ordered some swede seed. Intending to cut his W.Barley (admittedly for crimping) next week apparently, then drill the swedes.

Was driving from Paris to Reims yesterday in France and winter barley harvest has well and truly started. Quite a lot of fields are already clear and some have been lightly cultivated. All winter barley is expected to be complete in the next few days.

The current heatwave (got up to 38.5 C as I was driving yesterday) has made all crops come on very quickly. WOSR looks to be ready soon after the barley, and wheat is about 2-3 weeks away.

Yes I put a bit of round up on the headlands and it did look well forward so you could be right. I think that's how are rape is really looks OK and made it before the drought really hit here. When I know more I will keep you posted
