Communication problem between the AGI-4 RTK and an external modem

Good evening,

We equipped our AGI-4 receiver for RTK by adding an internal GSM modem and a gyroscope. We have an X25 console.

We have a GSM reception problem, the modems only receive 2G instead of 4G. We are more often in Egnos when in RTK

To overcome this we would like to add an external RUT955 modem. I saw that this was possible.

We connected the external RUT 955 modem with a cable connected to the RS232 port on the modem side and on the receiver side to the black DEUTCH port on the right side when you look at it from behind on pins 9,10,11.

I've been looking for a long time but I can't get them to communicate with each other.

Can you help me configure the X25 console and the RUT955 modem?

Thank you in advance for your help.

You have connected the modem tx signal to the AGI-4 rx pin, the modem rx signal to the AGI-4 tx pin? You have configured AGI-4 to use the external modem (I did not check how this works from the X25, straightforward from the Fendt VarioTerminal) and baud rate the same on both ends?

Are your fields scattered over a large area, if not, using the internal radio could be an option. Just need another compatible radio at your base site.

Thank you for your response Northern Farmer.

No, I connected the Rx of the AGI-4 to the Rx of the modem, so from what you tell me, it's my mistake if I have 5 minutes during the day. I will modify my wiring to try your solution.

I have three sites 35 kilometers apart so the internal radio does not work.

Thanks again.
