Hi all,
I need a little bit of help understanding the infomation on this seed chart for a Connor Shea seeder.
I understand there is two speed settings and rate control on the seed and fertiliser boxes.
What does 8T and 16T mean? Which one do I follow?
Also on the fertiliser chart, it says light star and heavy star how do I know which I have?
Thanks.

there might be a page in book before this one showing the 8 and 16 tooth cog my guess is cog on drive wheel that can be swapped around
the star in guessing thicker so drops more fert down pipes might have diffrent number of finger on the star as well the parts book might. show if there is a diffrence in number of fingers or manual may say about changing stars and adjusting that might give some ideas.

Thanks,
Are you suggesting the cog down near the wheel? The current set up is 8 teeth at the wheel linked to a 16 teeth cog. Then another chain with 8T cog to the three sets of cogs. So does this mean I should follow the 8T seeding rate?

nice old seeder tines a bit wide got direct drilling grasses and I think wide rows
yea looking at it I would wonder if the cog with the 2 chains on it has a mate with 16 tooth on it or it turns around so chain of wheel goes to smaller side then chain to box gose off bigger. side
but think more likely there was another cog
my guess is as shown it's on the 8t setting at the moment
the 8 on the wheel end and the 8 going to the box would be slower. some how would need the 16. at eather the wheel or the cog. driving back to the seed box

Hi, we just inherited the direct drill version of this seeder but it's mechanically the same. The 8/16t cog is the one directly attached to the wheel axle. Mine is currently the 8t but got no idea where the 16t is located. Perhaps it was lost long ago.

Here is a link to the operators manual if you want more info: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VA61Ks-oHhbWptvaLRTcBN3_9zsthg75/view?usp=sharing

If anyone comes across the 16t cog, let me know!
