Coro stress

Now I know this thing is affecting me a bit. I try and keep as calm as possible and make light of it in here to some extent.
This morning I had a bit of a shock. Like always, woke up and just pondered the plan for the day. I couldn’t actually think what I was supposed to be doing today! So, I think, what did I do yesterday? That might help. Bugger me, I couldn’t remember what I did yesterday!!!! And I wasn’t like yesterday was a run of the mill day, had very specific activities.
Then (ok spelling has never been my strongest point) just now I wanted to wright on a thread about those things wizzing around in orbit and just couldn’t get close to spelling it:-(
Not even close enough for the phone to pick up and run with.

Dont actually feel that stressed but something is going amiss :-(

I always struggle to remember what I done yesterday

Oddly I mentioned to Clare at lunch time that I got so involved with getting a few jobs done this morning I forgot all about CV till I looked on here, life is just the same on the farm, well up to now it is

I’m having more stress on the farm today than worrying about CV. Main tractor snapped a pick up hitch rod and it pulled the oil pipe out of the ram, knackering the thread and all the oil gushing out. Put plough on other tractor and managed to plough up the water pipe supplying the farm and cottage , even though I’ve ploughed that field many times before .

The weather is more of an annoyance than the virus at the moment, though the virus does hang like a black cloud of misery over things.
Never had to do so much spring drilling. Brother lambing so on my own with it. Plough, power harrow, drill repeat. Doing a field at a time so it doesn’t try get too dry. Beet beginning to blow at one end of the field. It’s a bit soul destroying at times but hopefully one day something will actually grow, not be drowned, frosted, blown away or get baked into concrete.

i will just be thankful if it gets to stage where it can get a virus. That didn’t used to be a problem until Michael Gove banned the neonic seed coating.
We really do need some good news for a change.
The media seem like revel in reporting how many people have died etc. Sick of hearing it.
I’ve been in my tractor all wk but have only had the radio on until 8am to hear the mornings news , then the rest of the day have listened to music on my phone . I can’t stand listening to the bad news all day everyday .

I went out for my weekly resupply mission and I think there were many more cars on the road than last week. Mrs Fred is a carer and we have decided to keep apart at the moment, with me looking after the animals on the farm and she is staying at her dad's house. I find spending all day inside your own head makes you go a bit doodle-ally.

Too much drink? Not enough drink? Not getting enough? Getting old?

Sounds like your biggest mistake was getting out of bed!

Is that the new Deutz you’ve broken?

I'm still largely oblivious to the number of cases or deaths, instead I focus on reading about the disease in journals. All very interesting. My only regret is that I'm not in education or in the fray working myself. If it was me I would be living on the premises and refuse to come home.

Instead, just have to carry on with the daily routine. And I suppose everyone here has to as well. That's the crux of it- everyone here has an important job to do that has to keep going. The sun is going to come up tomorrow and the cows will need to be milked. What goes on in the outside world is a bit removed from that. It was nice being on farm yesterday, drive a tractor and tidy up a bit.

My Mrs has been complaining of a tight chest for the last few days, typical me telling her to get on with it, and she's not going to die, turns out she has developed anxiety due to all this and really suffering. Now only listening to news once a day and not before bed. Helps a lot.
