What proportion get long covid? Is it a specific thing or a common post-viral fatigue, like the old yuppie flu due to people not convalescing properly?It comes from nuclear accidents, so would affect a fair part of the country, I’d guess.
As for long term survival, I think it’s too long to say that only older folks are at risk - whilst elderly seem to be worse for prompt symptoms, I get the feeling that long Covid might be more of a young person thing.
Only thing for certain (as far as I can see), is that all the money in the world won't stop the virus spreading because of how we live as a species so we have to get used to it. The vaccine may help but the flu vaccine doesn't stop c20,000 people dying of it each winter.
