I went past there the other day it made me feel old that the block I stayed in had been knocked down and another one put there, it doesn't feel that long ago that I was there
My brother is an electrician and he spent most of the autumn there he said a lot of work had been done on the farmit not 5 years since i was there and i didn't recognise the farm last time i past
I was there when it was a proper ag college, non of this horsey nonsence
There was dairy, beef, sheep, pig unit, the lot. Even milked at the small holding up the road.
I did a 3yr OND, which included a placement year out[ I milked cows/ made cheese at whitchurch].
Yes my father is going after working for him 36 years, how the farms has developed is interesting to me as it's where I spent every spare moment growing up and first few years as a employee, I remember when it was just hopton with another 2 dairy units elsewhere, now they are gone to make room for spud storesMr John Suckley died last week. What dose farmers and subsidies got to do with wind turbines ? they will enhance your view not ruin it.When I look across the valley from my top fields I can see three big AD plants , their domes glistening in the sun . Add in the wind turbines and the three planned next door, my lovely view is going to be ruined .
Bloody farmers and stupid subsidiesView attachment 35967
Everything is about money, you should know that by now ! not ideal but its they way of the world and w turbines look nice I think.Enhance your view?!! Bloody things. I could put up them if they were actually good at producing electricity and reduced our bills! Ruining every view we ve got here. Greedy landowners and developers. Who dont give a sh!t about reducing carbon emissions or reliance on f fuels. Its all about the money.
I know its all money money money. And folk will say farmers are over subsidised and inefficient as well. But there are places for turbines and places not for turbines.
Up here they are flattening 1000s of acres of forestry for turbines. Not harvesting the trees, mulching them!! Mature trees! Tax payers money to plant trees, tax payer mulching them and tax payer putting up turbines! What a waste!
