Yes I agree with you there, she just doesn’t seem to be the right type to be a good reporter outside the M25, makes herself look silly a bit too often!

Homosexuality was a crime in the past and people were prosecuted and publicly shamed. The world has moved on, thank god, and farming needs to as well. We all know countryfile is not a farming program anymore but it seems a lot of the viewers are still farmers!

Many of us have children and none of us know what partners they may bring home in the future. I am all sure we know an old boy who never married for some reason. We all need to be open to other beliefs and opinions. You don’t have to agree with them but you should at least respect them.

Well being from that side of the fence myself so to speak I think they covered it quite well, back in the 80’s when i confided to one of my friends at school, which then became school gossip, my life was hell, times and attitudes have changed beyond all belief since then and i’m quite open as to who I am, even to the extent of being quite self deprecating at times! Just like on anything else people have their own views and dare I say it, and I hate this word, there are homophobic people out there, I have also met some hetrophobes but that word isn’t used that much in open
conversation let alone the media, bet it ain’t in the dictionary also!
At this time I have never been happier, even though the weather is making farming hard work, 19 months into a fantastic loving relationship which more than anything has given me the opportunity to ‘get away’ from the farm and do other things in my life to complement my love of rallying.
I’m not a great fan of Countryfile, but I do think they they did a good job here!
