Situation Vacant Crop Inputs Trading Assistant for Woldmarsh Producers

Crop Inputs Trading Assistant: Full Time position Working as part of the Crop & Animal inputs team, reporting to the Sector Head, you will provide support to our membership for agrochemicals, fertilizers, and seed. Providing excellent service to our membership and forming strong relationships with suppliers is integral to this role. You will need the ability to multi-task and work to deadlines, demonstrating a real “can do” attitude within Woldmarsh. You’ll be expected to take and progress orders and enquiries, assist with product planning, supplier negotiations, budget setting and producing newsletter items for our members. With this role comes the opportunity to advance and progress your career within agriculture but you will need great communications skills, confidence, creativity, and IT literacy. Candidates must have a BASIS Foundation Award as a minimum requirement; however, we would welcome applications from those working towards a BASIS Certificate in Crop Protection or FACTS qualification. Hours are Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm and will be, primarily based at our office in Louth. Webinar: Expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive offer 2024 -26th Sept

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
