I just trim and spray. I lost 1 lamb and 1 ewe this year... but I put that down to how badly they were eaten into by time they showed signs and I caught them :( I didn't blame the Crovect (n)
I wouldn't normally blame the corvect
either but they weren't bad patches of maggots or eaten into even just skin deep. I'd done much worse than them with it before and they were fine it was just that one time when what I did treat died. I asked the vet when he was here doing something else if the crovect could have done something to them and that was what I was told could have happened. I'm not the only one I've spoken to that has had it happen but maybe we have just been unlucky :scratchhead:

Do you think something to do with the extra heat this year?
This was a few years ago now. I can't remember what the weather was like but it might well have been hot it would have been late June early July. I was as shocked as anyone when they died I'd never had any ill affects before but it does burn like f**k if I'm stupid enough to get it in a cut so it can't be very nice for the sheep either. Not that iodine is much better :inpain: I won't risk it again even if it was just bad luck. Always have iodine with me anyway so it's no bother. I wish I still had a can of dip lying around though :(

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
