We applied in December for a Track . CSF Officer visited recently. Received his report and we've been refused.
Can't believe it
Whole area completely waterlogged. My Landrover stuck for the first time , Can't buy feed in bulk as Lorry cannot get to the Livestock..
Supposed to be starting school visits soon No way we can take children round to the Pigs
At my wits end
Anybody know if I can appeal ?

Did they say why it’s been refused?

Unless there is soil erosion and manure leaching i cant see why they would pay for your new drive.

Arent you suppose to have the CSF officer around before you apply to the rpa.
We did ! Sorry I phased my post slightly incorrectly. We applied to Natural England for approval prior to submitting a Capital Grant Application . This was after we spoke to RPA & read the guidance notes

The last time I looked, which was several years ago, I thought you could get a grant for concrete as long as it wasn't anywhere you might drive, or for cattle tracks.
Didn't think they would pay towards a new access?

You can get a grant for Concrete but again you must demonstrate a need .
There's also a Grant for entrances .
Its best to go on gov.co.uk and search for RPA Capital Grants option finder

Getting farmyards concreted is good going, actually getting a farm drive done is taking the pee imo and wasting the pot of money.
We weren't trying to get our drive done. We asked for a Hardcore Track to get to our Pig Enclosures. We've already invested thousands ourselves . Not looking for a free lunch
If the Grant is available which not . Helps the cashflow.
My late Father started with a 5 acre Smallholding. Eventually ran three farms totalling around 800 acres. He went for every Grant possible. We pay our taxes. Why not !
