Did 86 cow cubicles shed for 50k in 2012
120 x 50 x 18 to eaves with over hang 28k erected
Foundations in the erected price
86 cubicles x £50 per cubicle + feed rail and troughs £5500
Sheeted doors £2000
2 passage ways and kerbs for sand concreted no concrete under cubicles £4-5000kroughly
Walls £3000
Labour all ourselves except for erecting
I’ve missed a few things but it remember it both sheds came in about 50k each

I’d b confident of doing the same now for under £80000

I bet the kit alone would be at least 35k now. Everything has taken a huge jump in price, except milk of course.

I put a shed up last summer, shed only , erected, no concrete, £4.30 / ft/2. One going up shortly, admittedly quite a bit smaller, £6.25/ft/2. Prices are surging up.

Steel prices should fall again, apparently it's because steel mills have been mothballed during covid and are slower to get up to capacity than car factories for example.

Has anyone come across floating cubicle neck rails? I saw some on a YouTube video, but can't see anyone who sells them in this country.

Looks good, a wee slipped calf caught by the scraper hasn’t much chance of survival though!
Why no galvanising on the shed and gates? For me it’d be top of the wish list, the extra cost would be forgotten about long before the rust appears!

It’s for high yeilders and fresh cows other shed has slatted channel’s. Price and availability of galvanising put me off this time. Plus kids art lessons during lockdown. Passages are 12&13 foot.
