Can anyone shed any light on the current xFill settings, and are they VRS supplier dependent?
I'm being told 2 different datum choices by different people.

Frequency 1545.4900mhz
Baud rate 2400
xFill datum, choice of:

Thanks in advance.

Datum WGS84

Doesn't matter who your VRS supplier is.

Can you explain this further. Why does the rover ask for a datum if VRS can use any?

Is x-fill clever enough to find the difference between the two to avoid a location jump when VRS gets interrupted?

I'm not familiar with x-fill at all, please accept stupid questions.

Is xfill a one time purchase or annual renewal?
Sit down before you read this:

Trimbles xFill service is free of charge.
I know, it seems surreal that they charge through the nose for everything else, but give away something useful, for free.
Of course it only works if you've unlocked your receiver to RTK level, but the xFill service can still be used if you use your own subscription free VRS base station, or you use a free VRS signal form the likes of RTK2go.com

I actually can't believe it 😂 but it makes a pleasant change!

Xfill was working on my tractor but doesn't seem to come on now, I assumed a sub had expired but I will double check the settings, thanks 👍

This is actually a good question. It asks because it has to match with the datum of the base station. If the base is ETRS89 and you select WGS84, it could be possible that line moves durring X-fill backup.

At a guess the datum is only important for determining height position, which won’t really be of any importance unless it’s being being used for drainage or land levelling like they do in the US for rice production.

But odd then that e.g. NAVD88 for the US is missing from the list.

You could be right.
I just wrote what RTK specialist told me when I asked similar question. I had no reason not to trust him because he manage over 1000 bs around the world.
Maybe something was changed in between.
