i know its a bit close to the 15th but do you have to do anything this year with regards to a claim. we claimed last year all ok does that mean we don't do anything no application/claim nothing ... now and it will still be paid.
and do you get bps money as well as sfi if you apply and get excepted on sfi also. until the bps peters out that is.
just a bit unclear on it all tbh.

Your local NFU agent would be a good person to clarify that for you.👍

I believe yes
Do we  ffs! I normally do the land use updates and BPS claim before doing the CS claim... but having no need to update the land use codes for the BPS claim this never crossed my mind??

Seems they have added a heap of new land use codes

Where is there anything that says we need to update the land use codes or by when? I do not recall any prompt to do so when submitting my CS claim?

edit, oh balls to it! :banghead:

Absolutely otherwise you can't make a claim, mine was really tedious as they had re-sized fields, gone back on previous RLE1's, changed permanent pasture to 'unknown' etc etc.
Thanks, so we basically have to still do everything we would have done for BPS anyway then other than hitting send on a BPS application 🙈
That's going to catch people out. I've seen a few posts on SM where please claims CS thinking they don't have to anything other than the CS declaration!

were not on cs s but the only thing i can see in there on it is this

Guidance

Delinked payments: replacing the Basic Payment Scheme

Applying for other schemes

You can also apply for any other scheme you are eligible for. If you’re a farmer, land manager or forester, read Funding for farmers, growers and land managers for information about opportunities to apply for money to improve the environment and your farm’s productivity. You can keep up to date with scheme news by reading the Rural Payments Agency website and the Defra Farming blog.

If you claim under our other land-based schemes, you should keep your land information up to date by checking your digital maps in the Rural Payments service. Not doing so could affect your payments under any existing schemes you are part of and future schemes you enter into.

It was very much a tongue in cheek comment. ;) I've never let the NFU anywhere near my sub claims, but I do know that the local office here does a hell of a lot of application forms for folk every year, all foc.

TBH, they only offer a dictating service.
The just write in whatever you tell them and make you sign a disclaimer absolving them of any responsibility.
I failed to see how there was any actual advantage other than feeling a little assured you hadn't made any obvious mistakes.

tbf the secretary did help me with the first iacs forms with the maps etc all those years ago, well that is until he wanted his luch break and i had to go away and finish ti myself.
he wouldnt help with my sheep quota problem though, so at that point i decided that i couldnt afford the membership cost anylonger.
ive never had any so called 'professional' help with it since.except for the odd phone call to the rpa.

big change really now isnt it because that all started about 30 yrs or so ago now.
