Bet it costs more than 3.48 to get it therethey will never need another dairy while the farmers pay the haulage.
Ayrr to Skelmersdale 200m - decent roads/motorway ÂŁ975/load - artic doing 2 loads a day - 2 drivers?Bet it costs more than 3.48 to get it there
Would appear that they process their own milk so questionable whether that would appeal to buyers
I had an artic load of feed from Hull last week, haulier was telling me it was ÂŁ11/t so 29t =ÂŁ319
130 miles and just over 3hrs,only difference is he’d have a backload, whereas the milk tanker would be empty.
£10k ish if it’s 33pWhat's an artic load of milk worth as a farm gate price?
£10k ish if it’s 33p
I’ve never heard of anyone getting rich off hauling milk.10K and a £600 haul maybe not so daft then.

True, but the dairy will be filling an artic full from different farms using a smaller tanker, well they do local to me.No but I was more thinking if the farm had to pay a haulier it wouldn't be outright daft in cost relative to the value of the milk taken away. If they can fill an artic mind.
