That’s a tail end type sale though.

Lanark old ewes averaged £105 but that included quite a few dear pens. But anything decent £80.

Dalmally will be mixed. £60 will get you a decent pen I’d have thought.

I was going to suggest Northumberland -type Blackfaces from Hexham. The main sale is early October.

Yes Hexham is very near to me but I have not been to that particular sale. Bit bigger blackies Northumberland type not had much to do with them. Had a few and did like them

A long trek from me but had thought of going last year but never got....think they have kept the emphasis on carcass more over there which can only be a good thing.

A lot of smaller poorer types than other Districts. Possibly more genuine ewes though. Some vendors there have massive good quality ewes though. Pierson and Graham’s but take some buying

Kirby was kind to me last year

Everywhere was quite kind last year surprisingly....just wonder if it will be as kind this time,sold culls for average few pence short of £50 this time.....last year couldve replaced for that.....but that was last year!
