What are your thoughts?
Was there on Monday, and could`nt believe how little parking there was.
Also all the unloading docks are to high for trailers if you have a partition door?
Also took ages t get unloaded, but its all new so that should improve I hope

Not really impressed at the moment

Definitely need alot more parking. They seem to have skimped on by far the cheapest bit.

Waited an hour unloading lambs this morning They seem to be having some teething troubles which I am sure will be sorted. Thought there would be some tarmac down for parking and roadways

I thought the ring a bit big, ok for groups of store cattle but on a fat day it wants reducing down somehow.
I think lack of sheep penning is an issue.

Had a bit crack with some of the drovers at the weekend and they said it’s just a matter of getting used to the set up. They’ve had no trail run so in at the deep end last Thursday. Things will get better once they get used to which way the gates work and how the pens are set out.

Yep I think they are putting more things to get behind in the ring as the drovers are a bit exposed. Having said that it would be a brave bull to have a go at Tracey.
From what I can gather this is a start for the new mart, things will be added and improved as an when it can be afforded. It's a base to expand from

Well I've been today and the only good thing is it's nice and shiny ... Where to start...

Unloading docks ...
The drains are higher than the concrete around them therefore there's big puddles.
The docks are too high, trailer back doors hit the edge and the end of doors not down.

The gates for holding pens of cattle on the dock, why aren't they full width instead of 2 halves with flop over catch?

The next set of gates, can't they design them so they latch off in the passageway without chaining them together what a finger trapping bodge!

The ring, bars across are bang on eye level.
Seating same height as standing so can't see over top.
That gap between rostrum and crush that every cow puts its head down!!!
The drainage! Puddles in the ring and then water doesn't flow to grates and goes towards offices.
Just haven't got levels perfect.

That station in the main corridor past cafe!!!

Simple design things to me???

On the plus side the cattle were very good, but very dear! Dam it haha
