Apparently to reduce carbon emissions in a country of 2.15 pigs for every person. It has also been suggested that lamb and beef should be limited to once a week.
However the Folketinget (Parliament) is to be exempted from any cut in meat consumption ....

Oddly, it is estimated that only 3% of Danes are vegetarian as opposed to 5% French, 7% British and 10% German

Denmark are really into Environmental things, lots of Turbines etc so anything that follows that thinking will be pushed there. A hotel I stayed in had no air con and the only food was plated up cold meats, cheese and the like as they cooked nothing on the premises. They took pride in the fact that the hotel group was carbon neutral.

Possibly not but I got the impression that they weren't the only group doing it. No aircon was the worst part as we needed the window open at night with a big clock just along from us bonging all night.

Nothing wrong with not eating something for a day or two. But apply it to other foods. No carbs for a day. No sugar for a day. No veggies for a day....

When are they going to grasp the fact that eating meat is just part of the carbon cycle and hence just nature doing its thing?
The only carbon that should be controlled is the extracted version, coal and oil.
I've only got o levels and I have no trouble understanding it!

Who do you mean by 'they' ? The NFU ? The NBA ? It is pointless us moaning about the politicians when our own representatives are going round saying that cows are destroying the planet.
edit: I forgot the AHDB, they also say that eating meat destroys the planet.
