Depositing cheques with a phone .

Not on a business account, they will on a personal. I phoned to ask last week!

Yes as I noted above, cheque imaging appeared in the HSBC personal banking app about 6 months ago, perhaps a bit earlier and works quite well.

The business banking app was designed by a completely different team - to be frank it’s a clunky, nightmare, shower of shite, in comparison to the personal banking app and needs another re-write although they put a fancy (coffee shop-esque) startup splash page on it about a year ago. Like putting a pig in a dress springs to mind :facepalm:

how come. did it yesterday with hsbc, and it was very quick. much better than driving 12 miles, paying to park, walking to the bank and 12 miles back.:)

With lloyds the app takes the photo , it was like the golden shot .... up a bit left a bit etc etc . life's too short

Once they do away with physical money then the system will be happy.
First they come for the cheques, then the cash...... data is the new money. ;)
With apps & cards they know everything about where, what & how you are spending and that has more value than coins & notes.

Apple Pay is the best and most secure (by miles) way to pay imo - started at £30 but now has no limit at all on transaction size. I rarely use a card these days - they are dangerous and fraud increasingly common

You could buy a car or even farm with your phone !
Can I borrow your 'phone, I've just seen a lovely steading to buy up in Galloway ...................
