Do you reckon the tesla would cope coming up the lane?sunday
tried to have more of a day at home.....did some nutrient planning.......admiral not great mentally and i got a call just as we were sitting down for roast tea with mu'ad dibs......admiral just wanted a cuppa tea and company for 1/2 hour....i swept/mopped floor and chatted and she was fine.......the mu'ad dibs are going to live in brazil for a year (mrs mu'ad dib is brazilian).....anyhoo looks like mrs spin might supervise their two properties as holiday lets....i make a pitch for his tesla as a 'company car'....just see me arriving at mart with that and my 8x5 ifor on the back....i promise i'd always have a lid on my coffee and window open whilst smoking but he's not impressed....so ocd that lad
monday
had a job to get myself going 'mentally' this morning...everything an effort...tis a bitta grind with admiral i must admit.....didn't help when we found puffa (beltex/texel ram) expired....not unexpected but blimey 3 rams dead in a month....only saving grace is i can go ram shopping next autumn and introduce some 'new blood' as things were getting a little 'line bred'......can keep flock as closed as possible like that
found a very decent dozen ram lambs for the abattoir and took them in early afternoon ...i'd actually looked round the fat pen for a possible ram lamb to keep back....but nothing stood out really
i'm finding that whilst i'm often complaining about 'being tired' or 'feeling demotivated' there's still a little part of my brain still scheming so i've been having a little 'dabble' on the latest brown&co online auction....i'm still hankering to build a little haybarn but ffs it's not like i've nowt else to do ........for example i want to replace holiday let ASHP with external oil boiler....stewardship starting.......some kinda all weather riding surface for strawbs..1000m fencing and HH coming back june time promising to 'motivate' me re farmhouse renovation....when the feck am i gonna have time/energy for shed building......anyhoo ..i spied some 'unloved lots' and ended up buying 6 steel uprights (length unknown)...20 misc steel plates and a lifetimes supply of 4 ft metal gateposts (30).....all for the princely sum of Ā£635....feck knows what i'll use it all for.....but i will
'lost in tanslation'......had trouble sun night registering barclaycard with ibidder......had to ring up.......got it sorted but feck knows how....bad line and very rapid sub continent accent translating to my 'gentlemen farmer' brogue.....anyhoo around 5pm today i'd haggled some unsold lots and paid up but gotta headache.....i retire to exec for rollie and coffee....mrs spin at door ....'phone for spin doctor???'.....i knew who it was ...yorkie about fencing....more language problems....'owd yer git on wit mcveigh parker?...speak up i git pickle running for aw change tit oil'....feck i need a babelfish
edit...'pickle' = pickup

Hang in there with the Admiral, you are doing a great job, I am sure she appreciates it but even if she doesnāt you will one day and when that one day comes you will know you always did your best for her. It is worth it even if itās a struggle at the moment.i'm dreadfully sorry ...i have 'english' as a first language
tuesday/wednesday.......admiral getting me down a bit.....hard work with her depression.......sleeping then not sleeping......nagged me stupid lest i forget her prescription this afternoon
collected my 'purchases' from two sites one each day......first lot the blokes forklift wouldn't start......made me feel a bit better as it's half the age of mine and he's had main dealer out....felt for him though cos thats the kinda thing that happens to me......the 'bargains' from here left me slightly disappointed.......second collection today and really pleased with the 30 steel gateposts......bolt/ weld together and i'll have stanchions for small cart shed or summat
work on getting main lambing shed has reduced to a crawl.....but some progress is better than nowt i suppose
mondays lambs weighed heavier than i thought but all the heavies were 'u' so still get base
strawbs gotta new vet...he could do farm.....i regarded him a bit suspiciously ....he seems a bit to 'anti antibiotic' to me.......later my vets gave me a call to say spectam is gonna be short....did i want any...i don't but i appreciated their attention....think i'll stick TBH
The dreaded 2 red lines means I'm having to keep out the wayDon't panic spin, it could be worse!!!!!!!!
I've just had Brecklands number one beet haulier on the phone complaining that he's on some off lying land and to quote " it's a long way away from the kitchen" that and I gather there's going to be a serious lack of toast at banham doesn't bode well..
He brought his own. It was 2 days old and a bit stale so he chucked it for the birds.is that a croissant you posh b'std ...i've never been offered a croissant.....not that i'd accept cos they're to 'bourgeios' for a rebel like me
psst...i'm lieing ...i love croissants
