Has anyone got a good source for Diatomaceous earth

I always bought mine from the chemical merchants. I'm fairly sure I posted similar on here a month or so back to a similar enquiry and the OP suggested they had tried many of the usual suspects to no avail. Could still be worth asking though.

I was led to believe that the grain processors hated it because it is so abrasive. Far better for pest control than chucking in organophosphates or pyrethroids though IMO.

Mrs cz got us 25 kg sacks on the web, although I’ve now found a local merchant that normally has one or two on the shelf

No idea if it's cheap enough. A friend got some for chickens from eBay.

Does it need to have a MAPP number or is it not classed as an insecticide?

Can this be used on milling oats or is it best to use another method?

Aiva fertiliser will sell it to you to ‘improve’ soil in a can. It’s incredibly expensive.

They mine it here and sell it by the roadside in sacks.

Delaval sell it as dry max.

I order it in 500kg dumps bags but they may do it in 25kg

Used to put a bit in the bottom of the dog beds too when they were kenneled outside on hay or straw, never any flea or tick issues!!

I don’t know. But quite a few companies pushing it.
