I've asked this on an older tread but not sure if it'll get spotted so try again here.

Anyone here spray off their AB9 then DD the new stuff in?

How long after spraying do you wait?

Any replies much appreciated.

I’m doing that. I sprayed it off a couple of weeks ago and topped it last week. I will wait until early May to drill. I will probably have to spray it off again a couple of day before the drill unfortunately.

Yes. I've Claydon (strip) drilled AB9 into the sprayed and topped residue from before. You'd want at least 2-3 days after spraying but that depends on what weeds you have. Big spear thistles or perennials need longer for the glyphosate to translocate. Kyleo is good for big broad leafed weeds like ragwort but has a 1 week drilling window.

And in extended dry spells like now or last Spring, a week is not enough...

A week is what your paperwork ought to say but there's a sound reason for that if you want to include broad leafed species in your seed mix. You could just go with a higher dose of straight glyphosate depending on what weeds you have which would shorten the drilling interval.

My take is that there seems to be some residual effect from the glypho and MCPA in combo that last longer than a week and will affect a germination of a subsequent crop/seeds. So allow longer if you can with DD.
