Winter beans (2 varieties) and oats together, following maize. Drilled with Metcalfe legs at 250 spacing. Due for combining and rolling together for cow mix. Beans drilled first deep, then oats. The drill dropped into the bean rows with the oats without trying. Drilled with GPS but not RTK.

Combine, roll together (twice through roller mill, first on bean setting then on oats), then into milker's diet.

Ahh ok. That makes sense. I was thinking was it a companion crop for some other version or did think maybe you have invented your own version of the old dredge corn for some other purpose though I envisaged you might be chopping it for the AD unit.

Redwald coming through OSR stubble well. Zero slug damage on anything this year, seems to be a lot of parasitised slugs around looking very sorry for themselves. Plenty of eggs but the crop is growing away fast now.
Good to see that cutting DFF from the pre-em has preserved the clover.

1.5L Kyleo pre-drilling

Pre-em was 1L glyphosate 360, 0.5 generic Flufenacet and 2L PDM with Avadex granules.

Have you used many slug pellets?

Herbal grass ley provided by the local rivers trust with 250g/ac of forage rape thrown in.
Went in beginning of Sept. At 1000ft.

No fertiliser applied.
