The iPad I use for Soyl recs has been sat in a drawer for 9 months without power. Now disabled any useful tips. I've tried holding both buttons for 10 seconds to reset but has not helped.

I read somewhere... have you tried connecting it to your iTunes?

You've as good as lost the data on it if it wasn't backed up to iTunes.
Plug it into iTunes and either restore from a previous update (may not remove any security you have on it) or setup as a new iPad and start again.

The only other thought:
Date looks to be years out so it is possible that has a influence on the 24 million minutes or whatever.

Perhaps connecting to the wireless network will resolve it. Which means setting the network name and pass to what it was last time the iPad connected.

Thanks all, there is no way in to connect to wifi or iTunes. It's an air 2 so not old .

There will be. If itunes ignores it then plug it in with itunes running and hold both buttons down longer than seeing the white apple and eventually you'll get the reset\download updates option. Might have to do it a couple of times.

You WILL lose all data on it this way.

Typically, for disabled iPads, Apple offers a way to connect to iTunes. But many users have reported that they can't connect to iTunes for a variety of reasons, so I think using iTunes to solve this problem may not be successful. For this, I found other ways to solve it without iTunes.this I found other ways to unlock disabled iPad without iTunes.

My guess is that the battery is beyond repair. Lithium Ion batteries do cut out before they die but also self discharge. Left for too long in a discharged state and the battery will be beyond recovery.

However, if the battery seems to charge and hold voltage, this may not be the answer. It does say 29% on the screen so hopefully it is as others have mentioned in posts above, because changing the battery in an iPad is not trivial.

Hopefully OP solved it nigh on 2 years ago ;):banghead:

often to try and get around our spam filters ! they register "sleeper" users that don't post or make a couple test posts so they become "trusted" by the system, then they suddenly start posting links to all sorts of rubbish a few months later
So they are no more subtle than Russian or Saudi assassins.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
