Not read all of thread, but we run a PH under drill but would like to put a set of disc's under it as a lot of the time we dont need a PH. We do run PH slow on light ground.

Just waded through 9 pages of being preached to and gave up ,,,,,,,,,, think the title of the thread should of been "do you go to church "

I reckon I could have a thread on religion and get away with less pages than no till / plough based systems. :)

:joyful::joyful::joyful: It keeps you from going out in the cold I suppose.
My award to most adaptable farmer goes to Bob the builder.
IMHO flexibility is king, you can manage to undo most bolts with an adjustable spanner but I like to have a socket set, ring spanners, combinations, and ratchet combinations + batteries and air to drive them. The adjustable spanner is still often useful though.

its on the to do list for this year .their is one on the right side already.and on the tractor drive shaft. although if you're near enough to get in the left hand one it means you have climbed on top of the harrow

When I was 18 - so long time ago - I operated a solobeet harvester with an unguarded drive shaft. Managed to forget the draw strings on my parka hood dangled around. Anyway leant over the drive shaft to clear some beet tops and the draw strings caught in the unguarded hardy spicer joint. Fortunately the drive belt was worn and the skid unit (a solobeet) was on tick over. In a split second my upper arm was wedging the drive shaft and the drive belt was slipping on the drive pulley. I had to wait quite a while until the person with me hauling the beet returned. I was very fortunate to retain an arm and a life - with a scar to remind me. Please put a guard on that shaft. Thanks.

It just shows how easy accidents happen in un expected ways .don't worry it will have a new guard on before next season
