Does Topcon now do auto-turn at headlands?

Seems all of a sudden companies are releasing auto headland. Hopefully my releasing it for free gave them some incentive to get off their butts. The thing with auto headland is you also need the machine control, hydraulics, turn off 4wd, etc etc to go along with. Other then a sprayer, it really limits its usefulness.

Do you know if it can do multiheadland turns like inner boundaries, both drive thru and obstructive? I'm programming that right now, its much more complex again.

It's been available from Trimble for a good few years, it's just too expensive!!

Just watching this. Has anyone been using the Topcon screen on a sprayer. How does it work out? I hate having to try and turn into a headland with no obvious visible mark in the dark. Causes a lot of boom whip. Being about to get the screen to do it would be great.

@Clive, going to get this for your sprayer tractor?

Are you clear that you can get it to do sprayer type tramlines?

Not dig deep into it really yet, Can’t see why it wouldn’t. Same tractors are used on the drills so it will be worthwhile fir that alone, if it does sprayer turns then better still

We really are not that far at all from not needing a driver in the cab are we when you watch stuff like this !

Looking at that video I think it looks like it can do normal sprayer boundaries. Will be really helpful. For example, I was marking out tramlines in the dark this evening. Couldn't see the headland clearly so had to keep swapping between A-B lines and headland curve which is a pain. If it will work for headlands which are not part of an idealised rectangle I will be very pleased.

Where’s Topcon based? Seems to talk like he’s highly involved behind the scenes with set up etc.

I believe topcon are American but ag gps stuff started in Adelaide by a company call kee technologies. They were bought out by topcon. The guy in the video is a farmer here in south Australia who I believe works for topcon also. I’m not sure if he is a programmer or just tests the gear but he really knows what he product inside out
