Dowdeswell power harrow

We have just purchased a dowdeswell power harrow. We need a few scrapers for the packer roller. Can’t seem to find any that fit. They have two bolt holes and dimensions are around 160mm by 100mm. Does any know where I can get some. Spaldings and Kramer no joy. On Standen’s website they are a single bolt and are different.

The originals are thin and sprung steel, so wear quite well, mine is still on them. Not seen pattern part ones to know if they are thicker, but only mild steel. Perhaps check?

Cut up somevleaf springs and weld on as an extension ,( using dissimilars probably )
Might them a bit bendy at thd join but overlap well and might worth a try

Have you tried calling Standen's parts department? They are incredibly knowledgeable and have helped us out with obsolete parts.

I used to use old combine knife sections welded on Kuhn scrapers worked a lot better than original as they always kept a straight edge

I'd worry about losing them, and punctures....

The serrated pointed bit is where it’s welded on to the old scraper

The powerharrow designs were sold to Standen along with the rights to the spares business, but Dowdeswell's forge may still manufacture the wearing parts for Standen.

Get in touch with Standen Engineering, they have the parts for Dowdeswell power harrows, and fair play they are ever so helpful and obliging, something that's getting increasingly rare these days.

Might be worth having a word with mark at Westlake plough , he has bought every thing out of dowdeswell

You must have some unstandard packer roller on your harrow, plenty of computerised plasma cutting tables about, just make a template and get them cut out in some high tensile steel plate.

They look like kuhn scraper cut in half
