We experienced some difficulties with the forum tonight at about 7pm which resulted in the site being unavailable for a while

We think the problem has been fixed, it took a while as database had to be rebuilt but are still investigating the cases so we can ensure it doesn't happen again

Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused this evening

How does all that get put on ?

it happens all the time, many times every day, filters usually stop it getting to the open forum but occasionally some gets through and a mod have to manually clean it up

they are bots not people quite oft hence why the posts often make no sense etc. I have no idea what they hope to achieve by doing it !

not sure what it achieves when its either instantly deleted and cleaned up by our filters or a moderator gets rid of it
