Drain Issue - Adjacent static caravan site

We have a field that is adjacent to a static caravan site.

I've noted for about the last year (maybe even longer) that we seem to have a significant wet patch (present even during the dry spell) that seems to be attributable to the neighbouring caravan site.

From the caravan site our field has a reasonable slope on it down to a water course (brook) that flows all year. It is habit for UN red-list species (native crayfish). Distance is less than 100m from the boundary to water course.

It appears to me that theres effectively foul water drainage /septic tank over flow making its way from site to our field and down to the brook.

Is there anything that can be done about this?

Dig a trial pit in the wet area near the boundary, let it fill up with water and get it tested for sewage effluent residues? If positive start complaining to Environment Agency?

Have you actually spoken to the caravan site about the issue? This summer would have been the perfect time, in such a dry spell moisture (and its apparent source) can hardly be denied.
