Drawers in the back of pickups

I've recently upgraded my pickup, and I'm trying to come up with a way of keeping the inevitable collection of rammal a bit more organized

Pretty much every option is a blinking fortune!
It currently has a roll top, which is ok, it's predecessor had a mountain top lid, which was arguably better at keeping things dry, and would take someone standing on it, but no good if you wanted to carry anything tall.
I don't want a canopy.
A full width drawer seems to steal a lot of space, particularly without a canopy, which has led me towards a half width but full length drawer to keep the small stuff together and accessible.
Still £600 like.
Anybody got one? Better ideas?
Thank you

Full length drawers will be on the floor by the time you get them pulled out. Half length ones, even if home made will let you get at more stuff easier.
The front half can be under a hinged lid for big stuff. Once every 3 years you might be able to get at it.

I'm trying to make stuff easier to get at not harder!

I can't remember exactly where I saw it or who it was made by, possibly Van vault, but the storage container sat at the front of the open pickup tray right behind the cab. It was full width, and was basically a tub that hung off the sides of the tray. The tub was divided into 2 parts each with a separate hinged lid that you accessed from standing beside the truck and leaning over the side of the truck.
I thought they were a good compromise on storage and leaving some load bed spare.
You could always make it yourself etc if you thought that an official manufacturer was a bit pricy.
I hope my explanation makes sense!
