This was actually on some very kind soil that had no cracks or even stones!! Bit like sand but not sand, polishes boards etc like a mirror so after the rain thought it would be ok down to ploughing depth but sadly not
Cheer me up some more! My first real match is Leominster, on the 2nd Sept, far from sure if its worth the effort of driving up there!

I'm on holiday near Keswick in lake district had a nice amount of rain up here it's actually a relief and pleasant change from the relentless heat that was last week at home in Suffolk. I'll try bring some home with me across the country and back to east Anglia saturday

Well we have had a lovely old bit of rain since I got back from holiday off to the shed to set up plough with my newly acquired manual

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
