Dual wheel accesories

Just bought a pair of stocks stepdown duals, im in need of an extra two clamps, but also 8 eye nuts.
I popped to my local tyre place, and i nearly fell over when he told me the price of stocks eye nuts, @ nearly £17 each.
Anyone used bow nuts for the job ? Would they be strong enough (4 per wheel) ?
Any other recomendations of where to buy, or what to get.
Thanks HH

They'll look cheap when it falls off on the road.

Yes there is that, i dont have roads to travel on, but have steep ground, and definately dont want a wheel coming off there.
I got some opico eyebolts a few years ago for the duals on my 4600, and they were only a few quid each, but cant remember where i got them from, seen plenty online from the states for a few dollars each, but cant seem to find any over here.

Where did you find them? I’m after a set of step up wheels to fit 600/65/R38

Just lucky, been looking for a second hand set for a few years now, a facebook friend was having a clearout of tyres he had acumulated over the years, and i saw the duals and realised they were step down duals, and jumped on them straight away.
Always the same when your looking for something, you can never find what you want. Stop looking and stuff just pops up !

Sounds about right! Not desperate, but would be nice to have for steeper ground and a bit more stability!

Which way are you wanting to step , just made some step ups from 38 to 46 ,by cutting a rim as its 38 on flat bit where wheel centre fits ,made a tidy conversion ,
Something like a rowcrop wheel ? Another 600 wide tyre or even 18.4, and youll never get down lanes if its the same as this area !
Step up to (correct me if i’m wrong) 12.9 r48. Can’t find the conversion chart at the moment

Sounds good, and that type of tyre with quite high pressure should be stable on the lower side crossing slopes. And keep the overall width down.
Taking a leaf out of NZ’s book, not for floatation here tho! There proving rather tricky to find and not that desperate to splash out on a new set.

Whats point of high pressure in duals ,no point putting them on

Dont know where his Majesty lives? But there terrain is probably a lot flatter than the hills of mid wales. We are talking about dualling to go on proper slopes on grassland, can only be attemted in the right conditions, too wet and one would slide , and then if the ground is bone dry that the tyres cant imprint, then thats asking for trouble. Wide low pressure tyres as fitted to most tractors ie 600 mm plus, give nither stability sideways nor enough bite to grip, so the idea of a hard narrow rowcrop tyre is to widen the tractor for stability , and also bite into the turf .
