EFRA committee want to hear from farmers about experiences interacting with food processors, manufacturers and retailers.

I'm sure we've all got our own experiences and it would be good to let the powers that be know what it's like being at the bottom of the pile.

I think this kind of thing encourages food waste. When it's that cheap people will buy it and not worry whether or not they will actually eat it or if it gets thrown away. If it's priced sensibly, people will only buy what they are going to use and eat.

There was a link a few weeks ago on another thread to the EFRA consultation on this.

It really needs proper attention from people who can eloquently talk about processor and supermarket bullying.

I used the consultation to moan about Red Tractor and non assured imports

So the potatoes work out at £1.50 for a 20 kg bag.
Such practices should be illegal in my view.
They devalue food and bankrupt producers.
