If people are still willing to invest 1.5mill, when eggs are 75p/doz (and they are) it will be a long time before we get back to the good days.

I think it's a combination of, a proven production system, looking at historic figures, cheap finance and a lack of faith in other options. Oh and packers still recruiting.

Thing is if these same sheep farmers looking to diversify were to invest 1.5million in sheep, you would have a serious unit, only have to work 3 weeks at lambing and a few days making sure the lambs go through the autodrafter. Might need a bit more land.
