@alex04w I do not follow your politics, but a very interesting remark. From which party are the candidates?

In South Antrim there are 5 candidates - Ulster Unionist Party (UUP - sitting MP - in the past the party has been allied to the Conservatives), Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), Social Democratic & Labour Party (SDLP - a 'sister' party to Labour, but Irish nationalist in view point), Sinn Fein (SF) and Alliance (a 'sister' party to the Liberal Democrats).

The Lib Dems.

To be fair the Lib Dems have been the only party to show any interest in the plight of the million or so expats in Europe, and have done so since last summer. Tories claim they are talking to people over here, but from what I can gather this is just bullsh!t I however, will probably vote SNP for the fist time ever. :nailbiting:

It is talk because they know they cannot do anything about it. The EU has made it plain they will not discuss the issue before other negotiations.

The idea that the UK gives rights to other nationalities there without any corresponding agreement in return for those who wish to remain permanently in rEU is sheer stupidiity. You could be in the situation of having to sell up and move back to the UK. It woud suit me not to have to do so just at present, but truthfully I cannot see Portugal kicking out the vast majority of Brits who live here. Some of them perhaps, but not the ones running businesses and paying taxes.

As czechmate says, you cannot vote SNP without a candidate. Stop the medication. I am sure you do not really want to vote for someone who might put the wee nyaff as the leader of the party with the most MPs in Westminster.

Actually, that would be an interesting prospect. The PM would have to be an MP, but if the leader of the party was not an MP, there would have to be a bit of a shake up since the PM can hardly not be the leader of the party. What a stramash!
