Situation Vacant Elite Livestock Stock Person - Chester/North Wales

Employer: A global leader in Bovine genetics with continued investment in genetics, services and product development for the both the beef and dairy industry.

An extremely rewarding and interesting role for a dedicated livestock enthusiast. You will work as part of a team to look after some of the world’s most elite breeding bulls. Your duties will include daily livestock tasks, as well as more specialised bull welfare and collection procedures.

You will work in a state-of-the-art facility designed with animal and employee welfare as the number one priority. This world class facility is built to the highest standard with biosecurity being a core feature.

Skills/Experience Required:
  • Hands on livestock experience
  • Skid-steer/tractor experience
  • Attention to detail with regards to animal wellbeing
  • Enjoy working in a tidy environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • A desire to continue to develop your skill set
Remuneration: An excellent salary, Relocation Package (if applicable), 21 days annual leave increasing to 23 days after 12 months’ service and increasing to 25 days after 2 years’ service plus bank holidays, Pension, Life Assurance (4 times basic salary)

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
