my parts supplier Is trying to source some new unused empty grease cartridges to fill with his own product.
I'd be surprised if any cartridges are actually filled in this country so new ones may not even exist.
he's an agent for Morris so that Avenue has been exhausted.

Any ideas anyone?

I have bought via Alibaba and was all OK It was a one off machine from China and everything went as it should. Lots of feedback from seller too (not that I could understand half of it )
They have their own buyer protection system I think, it says on the website somewhere.

A lot of cartridges in this country are filled by Ironsides Lubricants in Stockport, including Morris, or was last time I was there.

Alibaba's no bother. Get talking to them and you'll get a feel for what they're like.

I normally have a sample sent 1st. Or I send sample to them and they said the sample back with what I sent them to compare... I don't tell them part numbers or what they are for either. One lot I dealt with I'd say half of what I ordered I wasn't happy with. They sent me half the order again and they were bang on.

Do your homework to... Know X amount will fit in a carton... and ask them to quote shipping. They'll talk weights dimensions etc. Then price your own. They're sly but if they know you know. Then they conform I find.

Go to local plastic manufacturer with a sample and get a price for a few thousand.
Compare it to the price from The Peoples Republic of Alibaba.

Good way to see which direction his moral compass is pointing.

I assume he wants a few thousand?
