How long should a machine last

I was talking with a guy today & he was telling of a problem he has with a new machine,He bought a new machine in 2015 , full dealer service history record to date on it & it is now needing a complete new engine & has only done 2500 hours, the machine is out of warranty now & the manufacturer...

fendt engine problems up to £25000 repair bill

I bought a second hand 4 year old 900 series fendt almost a year ago! Been all ok until a couple of months ago when i realised i had a problem with a cam follower! Repair bill looking at been around £25000! On a less than 5 year old tractor! Over hours for any warranty so fendt not interested...

I would think someone has maybe pointed out to the OP on that thread that all the fuel savings of doing 29mpg will more than pay for repairs
