@Muck Spreader I think when someone answers the question it says a lot about them. You are obviously satisfied with what you have. Some others would have had to buy the next door place.

Same with some people on a grander scale. They want to conquer the country next door and the next and the next........ Other people in a similar position are quite happy to just be King or whatever of their own country.



That is what I do too. Almost all my ag work is off the seat of a tractor. Harvesting and pruning are hand done, as is the kitchen garden so I dstill get plenty of strenuous exercise.

To me there is a lot of satisfaction in doing the job properly (or at least to the best of my own limited ability) getting beyond a certain size often seems to compromise this and were it doesn't you eventually become a desktop farmer rather than a real one.
