European Election Results

It's not in the interest of The Brexit Party to Leave the EU asap IMHO.

If the vote can be carried forward to a general election .. it's better for them that they win in a general election.

Then they can not only Leave the EU but put in place future policy for a strong none Socialist none Liberal UK.

No no no . They must follow their promise / sole raisin d'etre and do it immediately

Well. My guess is that either the Tory party put up a no deal candidate with an actual pair (could be female with a metaphorical pair) or the party is dead. I can see the ERG hooking up with Farage and the others fading into the soup of useless cretinous mire that they belong in. My hope is that Baker, McVey and a few others stand and get through. You simply cannot negotiate unless you are prepared to walk away.

I was watching the Indy 500 today. Great race. Was rooting for Rossi but that's OK. I found the patriotism at the start to be rather extreme. It's not harmful. There was not a single indication that the US was better than anywhere else. Only that those folk loved their country. But hard to watch for a UK citizen, maybe simply because it's not what we are used to. But it did leave me wondering. Are we in the UK missing a bit of that? Are we so ashamed of ourselves for not any good reason that we can't wave our own flag? Why is that. Why have these sick leftie twatts made us ashamed of our own flags?

I love my flag , do don't come that one. I'd like a future for my children and whatever was your question or proposition, McVey is not the answer

Do we laugh or cry at poor old Aunty Beeb? A party that has come from nowhere gains near a third of the votes and by far the largest number of seats and all the corporation can do is note that -

Gains for The Brexit Party and Lib Dems
With all the overnight results now in, it's been another bad election for both Labour and the Conservatives

Did I actually pick up on the fact that Laura K kept banging on about, that had this been a general election, the Tories wouldn't have won any seats at all? They lost in every constituency.

That must be the real news here.

Indeed, but far too radical an idea for the establishment to cope with at this hour of the day.

the result clearly shows that as the libs greens snp and by far the biggest part of lab and con are pro remain and they got by far the biggest part of the vote then we should abandon this silly brexit malarkey throw in completely with the eu by getting shot of the pound disbanding much of our own government and letting the eu set most of uk policy oh and also signing control of the armed forces to them

Don't be to sure . Most Brexiteers I spoke to did not vote . No one has mentioned what's hidden in the low turnout

If there were to be another referendum I have absolutely no idea how the vote would go but I agree with @Forage Trader here; if you, as I did, voted to leave the EU how could you possibly have taken part in the EU MEP elections. You would have voted for the continuance of the organisation you wanted nothing to do with.
Lots of unfinished business to wade through for a while yet. Just keep hoping for the best possible outcome for the greatest number of people.

Who says that ?

A bunch of undemocratic lunatics who want to use "Climate Change" to destroy everyone elses jobs, homes and way of life ?

Promoted by Billionaires who use their ill gotten gains made in Communist China to force through Western Policies that make them even more money.

Time to take the fight to their doorstep, take their jobs, tax their way of life and confiscate their homes.

the result clearly shows that apart from hard core supporters all voters are fed up with the two traditional main parties fecking about that they will vote for anyone bar those point scoring idiots and its time the stupid buggers got their act together

The result clearly shows that the vote is still split down more or less the middle on the question of the UK's membership of the EU and that shows that its time for compromise so perhaps one year in then one year out and so on ?
