So your only working on an average of aligned contracts ? My average herd yield is 15000 kg then. My best 3 cows have averaged that !!!!!True however im doing the calculation for this year, many on good contracts have achieved a 5yr av of this

You need to use an industry average otherwise you are just kidding yourself with knob talk !

learning as much as possible before taking the idea any furtherHe would save all of us a lot of grief if he would just go and build this dairy unit. He knows he wants to.
Why Not?i wouldnt go into it without an aligned contract though

Ive got one and she can be difficult at times but shes put up with me for 25 yrs so shes not doin too bad.Cost of one milker including the extra replacements, workload and facilities = cost of 3 sucklers. Having said that I wouldn't have a suckler about me on lowland.
out of interest how much extra milk do you think you will produce with the robots compared to before?Very well, max at 55 here else it leaves little or no slack in the system for down time, really work on litres/kg robot, 2k each as a rule is near max
think id need to do it on the cheap with straw bedded courts and a second hand parlour if i were going into it mabye start with 150 cows i should produce enough straw for that i produce 3000 bales a year from my harvestCost of one milker including the extra replacements, workload and facilities = cost of 3 sucklers. 1000 tons x ????? 130 180 ton ?Your a rich boy this year then
very impressive am i right in saying its 130k per robot? lets say 15% extra then since uve improved conditions too, that would give an extra 1350l per cow which at 25ppl and 55 cows per robot it an extra £18,562 income per robot, one man per 100 cows saved at £25,000 a year is £13,750 added to the £18,562 gives £29,612, call it a 6 year payback including interest??20% here Though we did move into a new shed at the same time so better conditions all round
all going into the sucklers im afraidYour a rich boy this year then
